After Dartmouth, I went on to Brandeis University to get my MA in International Economics and Finance. From there, my first two jobs were working as an economist, first at DRI/McGraw-Hill in Lexington, MA (now IHS Global Insight) doing econometric forecasting, and then at Toyota Motor Corporate Services in New York, NY where I was a research economist. I have now been at my current employer, FactSet Research Systems in Norwalk, CT, for just over 15 years. For my first 11 years here, I was primarily working on the integration of economic databases into our client software platform. For the last four years, I have focused on building the applications that display our economic and benchmark data for our clients. I also write monthly economic topical articles for my company's web site, and present on economic topics to both our clients and fellow employees. The MSS major ties directly into what I am doing today — working with economic statistics. (10/2014)
